Pat - grazie...

Ho postato una ripresa video fatta nel lontano 2005, durante una tre-giorni di full immersion metheniana. I fan di Pat potranno capire la meraviglia di stare seduti davanti a Lui mentre prova senza sosta per ore, mentre i suoi colleghi sono al bar da ore...
Potete apprezzare in background il bassista (e cantante per l'occasione) Rosario Bonaccorso, e il mitico David Oakes che saltella su e giù dal palco per assistere il Grande. Fuori scena, la carissima Carolyn osserva paziente.

I posted a 10' fragment of my shootings during the 2005 Sardinian Jazz Festival. There was 3 days of full - Metheny - immersion! A nice experience under the august heat during the soundchecks (me and my wife assisted every day) and the incredible concerts in the evening. Pat played with many "stars" of italian jazz - one for all - Enrico Rava. This video comes from the second day, after soundchecking with Roberto Gatto and Rosario Bonaccorso. Pat is always the last musician to leave the soundchecking, he is like a music-machine, no food, no rest, he just keeps playing until things sound ok for him. It's been great watching Pat playing in such a relaxed environment. I will post other fragments, sadly YT doesn't allow more than 10' pieces...
